Position Summary:

Position will focus on the North America export protein trade within the North America Crush Value Chain. The position will manage the export soybean meal, canola meal, and DDG positions. This position requires a strong understanding of the soy, canola, and ethanol crush industries including but not limited to crushing margins, freight spreads, competition, logistics, customer interaction, and futures hedging. The position will coordinate closely with our North America oilseed processing facilities and trade teams, export and domestic trades desks in St. Louis, and the global value chains/destination teams in order to maximize our value chain returns. The position will have a full understanding of Chicago hedging derivatives and their use in our business around risk management including board crush, delivery economics, futures hedging, and spreads. There is a strong focus around logistics, execution, and managing 3rd party supplier relationships.

Main Accountabilities:• Update, maintain, and coordinate N.A. export protein marketing plan with trade teams around the globe. • Margin management, cost analysis, and P&L forecasting/reporting for trade accounts.• Ownership of the N.A. export desk S&D analysis and grids update. • Oversee and manage the execution of current marketing and supplier agreements.• Day to day trading analysis and reporting of market activity. • Initiate and analyze new growth opportunities and challenge our existing footprint/programs.• Manage export soybean meal, canola meal, and DDG export pipelines and cash position.• Manage and develop export desk team members.

Skills/Experience Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business, Business, Finance or an applicable related field required • 7+ years' experience in Agribusiness required • Successful experience working directly with customers• Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Strong working knowledge of and proficiency in Excel, and Microsoft Word as well as basic computer functions • Knowledge of SAP & GTM preferred • Understanding of cash and futures markets required • Understanding of domestic and export markets with emphasis on both origin and destination business required • Knowledge of crush margins and returns, freight spreads, and both export and domestic meal markets are essential • Detail oriented • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to multi-task • Prior procurement or trading experience required
