Your Role and Responsibilities
In the role of Storage Tester you would be responsible for Designing testing and automation development of individual product features for IBM family of storage products IBM Software Defined Storage portfolio & IBM cloud storage services.
You will be owning and driving product functionality as SME and represent in global product teams. You will work with the senior technical leaders and manager in effectively managing the deliverables through your technical skills and prior experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3 – 7 years of industry experience in Filesystems Storage systems Software and Virtualization/Containerization.
• Proven knowledge of S/W development process & tools for product development/debug using Python language Debugging Scripting technologies and ROBOT & CI/CD framework is an added advantage.
• Experience working with File protocols (NFS/SMB) and Object protocols (S3 ) protocols
• Experience with Test Automation frameworks.
• Experience with System level testing and large-scale customer environment testing (CET)
• Well familiar with different Operating Systems (Linux AIX Windows).
• Deep understanding of File and object storage protocols Container technologies(OpenShift Platform) Filesystems Storage systems Kubernetes etc.
• Experience in Systems/Storage domains Storage controllers and features like High availability DR Replication Snapshot technologies.
• Product development/usage experience on Linux/Windows operating systems and user level programming and test. Basic User level Linux and administration is required to debug any day-to-day issues.
• Experience working on collaborative environments that use Agile methodologies.
• Perform Test case creation and test case reviews. Develop and perform test verification and automation
• Enterprise-level container-based systems (Docker OpenShift Kubernetes).
• Good problem-solving skills for complex issues with interdependencies across multiple modules
• Ability to crisply communicate across geographies and all stake holders (clients and level 3 support teams) for resolving field issues. Good expertise of working with Global teams
• Knowledge and hand-on usage of code and defect management tools
• Ability to meticulously plan and detail test executions and identifying dependencies recycle any field issues back to improve Quality/Robustness of the SW Solution.
• Good written/verbal communication skills to report program status crisply and accurately.
• Good technical leadership skills to mentor and train new team members
• Collaborate across scrum teams and conduct effective playbacks for
  stakeholders.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proven Storage domain knowledge with hands-on experience on storage software stack implementation and debugging on Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with Python C/C++ Go Jenkins Ansible Git PowerShell RTC RQM.
• Idea on working model of Hybrid cloud environment (AWS/Azure/other cloud environment) is an added advantage.
