Prototype Engineer for St. Louis, MOto design, develop, deploy, test, troubleshoot, debug & support software applications; gather user requirements & define system and operational functionality; write & program code; develop software verification plans & quality assurance procedures; maintain, support & enhance existing systems and platforms; comply with software project plans & industry standards; identify & evaluate opportunities to implement new technologies. Requires Master's in C.S., I.T., Computer Engineering, Information Systems or closely-related field & 2 yrs experiencein IT-related position(s): developing custom distributed software systems using Python; building scalable backend services, including REST APIs and/or microservices; using HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS, CSS3 and/or Backbone to develop modern web applications & write code; designing & accessing relational databases, including SQL Server, NoSQL, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL; using Cloud-based computing services, including AWS, GCP and/or Azure, to retrieve & store data and deploy web applications; creating visual analytics dashboards using R Shiny, Python Dash and/or Django; developing software automation servers in Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions; performing code review using GitHub for version control; gathering & tracking user requirements for web application development using process mapping and gap analysis; and partnering & communicating with business and/or technical stakeholders on web application development using the Kanban framework. Will also accept Bachelor's in said fields & 5 yrs progressive post-Bachelor's stated experience.
