Overview:

As a pioneering software company, we are seeking a Prototype Engineer to join our innovative team. You will collaborate directly with customers to understand requirements and rapidly build functional software prototypes to demonstrate capabilities and feasibility. If you are passionate about software architecture and development, and enjoy working with a collaborative set of colleagues, this is a great opportunity.   The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with customers.

Summary:

• Work closely with sales engineers, product, solutions architects, and customers to understand software requirements and objectives
• Design and architect prototypes that showcase desired functionality and UX
• Rapidly develop working prototypes for demonstration to customers
• Gather feedback, refine prototypes iteratively, focus on validating features/concepts and drive effective solutions
• Partner with engineering team to transition successful prototypes into production
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and development practices
• Advocacy for “citizen” developers and third parties building solutions with our APIs

Qualifications:

• 3+ years professional software development experience
• Strong capabilities with web/cloud technologies and frameworks
• Knoweldge of AWS and Azure
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Ability to understand customer needs and think creatively to develop effective prototypes
• Comfortable working in a rapid iterative style of development
• Passion for crafting innovative solutions and delighting customers
• Python, Java Script, .net and/or other common languages desired
• Ability to be a manager of 1, prioritization and autonomous work
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
