Prototype Product Specialist

Summary:

Receive requests for new products from Marketing Designers. Produce several prototypes of the recommended award for approval from the Designer and the client. Fill out paperwork on the correct routing process. Coordinate with Marketing to match the design against the physical product. Create the best quality product that best matches the expected market value of the award. Use Trello to organize, plan, and determine completion dates. Huddle with production teams to refine routings, address any tooling or production concerns, and look for cost reduction best practices. Communicate effectively with leadership, production, marketing, and the client. Be organized and demonstrate the ability to prioritize duties and tasks.

Duties:

1. Receives prototype request from New Product Manager Engineer including Routing, Sketch, and special instruction.
2. Coordinates with New Product System Manager and multiple departments to ensure on-time delivery times are met.
3. Completes prototype through best finishing methods and techniques.
4. Delegate responsibilities as needed across the supply chain to meet due dates on workload
5. Documents all steps of the finishing process in the routing.
6. Provides 2 to 3 finished prototypes for Marketing review to be sent out to the customer.
7. Makes changes to prototypes as needed based on the guidance of the Marketing Designer or Product Manager.
8. Updates product manager tool with updated content, learnings, and questions. Also document any important delays due to tool issues or waiting on others for services.
