Prototype Sales Analyst

Job Description Summary

The Prototype Sales Analyst is responsible for scheduling and managing customer shipments, monitoring production, and controlling the procurement of raw materials. Ensures raw materials are maintained at optimal levels to cover manufacturing while achieving inventory targets. Ensure manufacturing maintains a smooth production plan with a steady flow of materials. Interact and maintain relationships with trading partners. Process supplier forecasts to ensure alignment with production planning and forecasting.

Job Description

  • Manage customer weekly and daily ship requirements and window times; connect with production and shipping departments. Proactively react to changes.
  • Responsible to supervise raw material replenishment to ensure production coverage
  • Utilize reports to support daily and weekly operations
  • Help coordinate and communicate daily production build requirements to satisfy customer demand and maintain inventory targets
  • Review and maintain supplier forecasts on a weekly basis; maintain cumulations
  • Communicate proactively with trading partners
  • Expedite inbound and outbound material by identifying problems and resolutions
  • Regularly maintain pull loop size based on PFEP recommendations
  • Supervise and update the PFEP collection plans for accuracy
  • Proactively elevate critical supply issues to management
  • Proactively elevate critical delivery issues to management
  • Apply the supplier scorecard and troubleshoot poor performing suppliers; work closely to improve supplier performance
  • Utilize the supplier scorecard to initiate internal operational improvements
  • Maintain inventory targets while continuing smooth operations
  • Responsible to follow safe practices
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

Education

  • Minimum Associates degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related field
Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Microsoft Office competence (communication & tracking applications) with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required

Preferred

  • Experience in automotive product design
  • Three year's experience in automotive product/prototype
  • Oracle
  • PLM/Team Center
  • Plex and IPF
