Job Description

Position responsibilities

  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to research and analyze data.
  • Compiles and maintains current and accurate data of all providers.
  • Completes provider credentialing and recredentialing applications, monitors application and follows-up as needed.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers and Payers outside the organization.
  • Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers
  • Knowledge and understanding of the credentialing process.
  • Maintains confidentiality of provider information
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education and experience

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate or equivalent relevant work experience desired.
  • Previous insurance/Medicaid billing/customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Must have effective organizational skills and a high attention to detail

  • Must demonstrate the ability to adapt to change, maintain professionalism in challenging situations, and work in a Business professional environment.

Work environment / physical requirements

  • Work environment is an office location. The position requires the dexterity to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
  • Occasional lifting may be required up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with frequent bending and stooping
