The Provider Engagement Account Manager– Key Accounts is a business development position designed to cultivate and grow relationships with select contracted providers. This position serves as a liaison between CINQCARE and the provider and is responsible for the accomplishment of both health care and business objectives as established for each key account. The right candidate will embody CINQCARE’s core values, including: Imagination, Partnership, Forthrightness, Humility, Courage and Relentlessness. 

This position will coordinate interaction between CINQCARE and key practices in the Upstate New York market. Interaction will include, but not be limited to, practice transformation, care management, quality improvement, membership growth (including Health Home penetration), system integration, SDOH referrals, contract compliance and budget performance. Additionally, this position will be responsible for deep knowledge of competitor programs; be they payor’s, other provider organizations or other third parties, to assure that CINQCARE remains competitive with its offerings and support. 

The Provider Engagement Account Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of account project plans and updates to support our ability to track progress. It is expected that this leader will advise responsible parties in both organizations when corrective action is called for and will request strategies and actions to address shortfalls in provider performance.

Primary Responsibilities

The Provider Engagement Account Manager– Key Accounts will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Develop mutually acceptable set of goals and objectives for each key account by product line offering (e.g. Medicaid, Medicare, ACO REACH, PACE, MAPP/DSNP, MSO) 

  • Plan, execute and manage account plans and projects through a collaborative effort with both CINQCARE and Key Accounts 

  • Provide regular updates, respond to inquiries, and address key account concerns in a timely manner 

  • Monitor progress through the establishment of a Joint Operating Committee (JOC) and facilitate discussion and evaluation of progress.

  • Manage Joint Operating Committee Meetings 

  • Assure that CINQCARE’s internal resources and priorities are aligned with key account objectives and advise leadership where there is opportunity for improvement 

  • Conduct market analysis and evaluate competitor’s practice and market status 

  • Develop plans to displace competition 

  • Maintain complete organizational knowledge and product and services familiarity 

  • Add value by conveying useful industry, government and practice innovation trends and initiatives 

  • Maintain and update key account contact records 

  • Assure team selling efforts are in place and coordinated for Health Home and payer membership growth 

  • Assure Key Account satisfaction 

  • Meet or exceed individual key account P+L objectives 

General Duties 

The Provider Engagement Account Manager – Key Accounts shall have following duties: 

  • Leadership: Lead in defining and executing strategies and solutions to create business value in provider engagement, including building a team to design, develop, and execute those strategies and solutions to deliver desired outcomes.

  • Strategy: Establish the business strategy and roadmap: (1) improve outcomes for CINQ Care Inc. members; (2) enhance the efficacy of other CINQ Care Inc. business divisions; and (3) develop and deliver external market opportunities for CINQ Care products and services. In establishing the business strategy, the Director Provider Engagement – Key Accounts will define and innovate sustainable revenue models to drive profitability of the Company.

  • Collaboration: Ensure that provider engagement capabilities form a cohesive offering, including by working closely with other business divisions to learn their needs, internalize their knowledge, and define solutions to achieve the business objectives of CINQ Care Inc.

  • Knowledge: Provide subject matter expertise in provider engagement solutions, including determining and recommending approaches for practice engagement, solution deployment and performance evaluation. 

  • Culture: Is accountable for creating a productive, collaborative, safe and inclusive work environment for the provider engagement team and as part of the larger Company. 

Qualifications  

The Provider Engagement Account Manager– Key Accounts should have the following qualifications: 

  • Education. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other management related field; 

  • Experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in managed care or other health care related relationship management position(s). Appreciation for details with ability to read and understand contracts; 

  • Entrepreneurial. CINQ seeks to fix gaps that have persisted for generations in the delivery of care to Black and Brown populations. This position is accountable for ensuring CINQ is positioned to innovatively deliver on its promise by influencing stakeholders and working closely with them to determine acceptable outcomes; 

  • Communication. Experience giving detailed reports and presentations. Competency using computer software to facilitate presentations and reporting. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills; 

  • Relationships. Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with business leaders and external constituents; and, 

  • Culture. Good judgement, impeccable ethics, and a strong team player; desire to succeed and grow in a fast-paced, demanding and entrepreneurial Company.
