We have an opportunity for a remote PS2 Communications Specialist III on our Physicians satisfaction team. As a PS2 Communications Specialist III, you will be responsible for building promotional communications for PS2. Also responsible for coordinating and/or managing the planning, scheduling, and tracking of internal and external communications activities across the entire Professional Satisfaction & Practice Sustainability (PS2) business unit, leading to the successful development, expansion and enhancement of PS2's initiatives and resources. This role will also track and help analyze data to better understand the impact of our communication efforts and support the team in building new reporting strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communications Planning

  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager on the development and implementation of measurable communications plans that align with business objectives across all of PS2, including AMA STEPS Forward® and AMA STEPS Forward® Innovation Academy programs, the Joy in Medicine™ Health System Recognition Program, AMA Physician Innovation Network, and AMA Private Practice Simple Solutions
  • Create detailed timelines, ensuring proper sequencing of activities and resources to meet required deadlines
  • Update and maintain communications plans, report status, track and resolve issues and ensure proper implementation and follow-up
  • Coordinate and disseminate key communications to external stakeholders

Communications and Marketing

  • Content manage the PS2 social channel, including creation of posts and analysis of follower and engagement metrics; collaborate on strategic planning for increasing social media reach
  • Support the Communications Manager with improved communications planning processes using the project management tool Asana
  • Create and support event, resource, and publication promotions across all PS2 workstreams
  • Support collaborations with external associations and institutions
  • Recommend and incorporate continuous process improvement practices and efficiencies in procedures, processes, and protocols
  • Draft promotional blurbs and guides for various key audiences including physicians, health system leaders and others
  • Content development support for collateral materials, email campaigns, presentations, web copy, paid media campaigns and other promotional projects as needed
  • Content manage and distribute the bi-weekly PS2 Newsletter
  • Update and maintain the PS2 Data Repository, a shared resources hub for all of PS2

Reporting and Dashboards

  • Support the Director of Content Strategy & Operations, Communications Manager, and other PS2 colleagues in development and maintenance of KPI reports, quarterly marketing reports, quarterly leadership reports, and dashboards to monitor performance against goals
  • Track and report PS2 digital metrics, which contribute to and provide direction for future PS2 communications and marketing strategies turn data into information and insights to drive new content production and communication efforts

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, public health or healthcare administration or related communications discipline required; master's degree in public health, healthcare administration, or other health-related field preferred.
  2. Minimum 3+ years' experience in content creation/communications, or marketing required.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Strong writing and copyediting skills.
  5. Strong project management stills; able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and manage competing projects effectively; familiarity with Asana a plus.
  6. Ability to handle tight deadlines and maintain high standards of work.
  7. Demonstrated sense of initiative and professionalism.
  8. Analytic and problem-solving skills; demonstrated knowledge of using data to inform communications and marketing strategies and a thirst to continue to learn more.
  9. Commitment to teamwork with demonstrated ability to build relationships.
  10. Demonstrated understanding of SharePoint, PowerPoint, Canva, and/or other presentation/design tools.

The pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is $58K-$78KThis is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
