Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE NON-BARGAINING UNIT POSITION.
This PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER position, PD Number T5854, is part of the Montana Army National Guard, G9/State Surgeon's Office. (PD can be obtained from HRO.)
Selected candidates will NOT be required to be a member of the MTARNG.

- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must possess a current, unrestricted Montana State license to practice clinical social work independently (LCSW) or a current LCSW from another jurisdiction which has licensing requirements equivalent to MT standards and can obtain MT LCSW.
- Must have 24 months post-licensure experience in clinical counseling work assignments.
- Completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
- This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
Qualifications
- Possess a current, unrestricted MT State License of Clinical Social Work (LCSW), or have LCSW in another jurisdiction that has current licensing requirements which are substantially equivalent to Montana standards, and be able to obtain LCSW in MT.
- Must have 24 months post-licensure experience in clinical social work.
A) Must possess a behavioral or social science degree* (see below); or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences.

B) Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

C) A combination of both specialized experience and education.
*Must possess a Master's of Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, proof of completion of 3000 hours post-graduate supervised work experience over a minimum of 24 months, completed background check and proof of passage of the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) clinical licensing exam. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.

Education
