Summary
This position is located in the Public Affairs and Exhibits Office at the United States Mint at Denver. The purpose of the position is to perform work involved in establishing and maintaining communications between Federal agencies, the general public, and various pertinent publics including internal, external, foreign, or domestic audiences.

Conditions of Employment
- All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.

- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.

- Shift Work: This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis, 5 days a week. Work schedules may vary and assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be available to work on all three shifts on a rotational basis.clothing and/or equipment required by the position. Qualifications
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.
GS-09: Specialized experience is 1 year (52 weeks) of experience at the GS-07 level or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as:
-Applying the principles and methods of written and oral communication; AND
-Experience with using online publishing software, social media or multimedia tools as communications strategies; AND
-Participating in conducing tours as a tour guide, planning, designing, developing, and disseminating public affairs information and materials to inform and educate the public.
OR
A master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent.
Specialized experience for the GS-07 is one year of experience at the GS-05 level or equivalent is defined as:
- Drafting, editing, scheduling, monitoring, and responding to social media posts; AND
- Writing articles; addressing customer service questions via phone and email
OR
You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: One full year of graduate level education OR Superior Academic Achievement based on a bachelor's degree that is demonstrated through class standing (upper 1/3 of class), grade point average (2.95/4.0 overall or 3.5/4.0 in major) OR Election to membership in a qualifying national scholastic honor society.

You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.
For the GS-05, you must have three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-4 level in the Federal service. General experience for this position includes:
-Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; AND
-Plan and organize work; AND
-Communicate effectively in-person and in writing.
OR
You may substitute education for general experience as follows: Completed 4 full years of education above high school leading to a bachelor's degree.
OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.
Attach a copy of transcripts or list of college courses designating semester or quarter hours earned to ensure proper credit.
Education
Education Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.

- This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting."
