Public Finance Analyst

Title: Public Finance Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL

Cabrera Capital Markets, LLC ("Cabrera") is seeking an Analyst to support our Public Finance Investment Banking team in all aspects of new business development and transaction execution. The Analyst will assist in deal execution, cash flow modeling, the preparation of presentations, proposals and debt profiles for municipal and not-for-profit issuers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with generating debt profiles to provide bankers with an overview of a client's debt position and historical financing trends
• Formulate client presentations, pitch books, and responses to Requests for Proposals
• Provide quantitative analyses including financial forecasting, cash flow analysis, and bond sizing
• Assist bankers in the execution of new issue transactions including documentation, pricing, presentations to investors and rating agencies, and deal closing coordination
• Monitor market conditions to apply new financing and optimization strategies based on clients' financing needs
• Research projects related to regulatory, legal, policy or client-specific issues
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or similar
• FINRA SIE, series 52, and series 63 licensures (or within 90 days of hire)
• 1-2 years of previous experience as a Public Finance Analyst
• Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be self-motivated and possess strong time management
• Advanced proficiency with DBC Finance, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
