About the Team
The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and corporate social responsibility. The mission of the Global Public Policy team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.

We are seeking a Public Policy Leader to drive our policy strategy and engagement in Singapore. This role will work collaboratively to promote a political, legislative and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for the business, while contributing to global and national socio-economic impact objectives.

Responsibilites:
- Engage, build and maintain deep relationships with government leaders, regulators, policymakers, and industry associations.
- Represent TikTok in high-level meetings with key stakeholders and advance TikTok's policy goals.
- Advise leadership and relevant cross-functional teams on public policy matters, to inform business decisions and guide development of policies, products and services.
- Design and lead a long-term policy strategy for Singapore, to influence regulations that affect our business and drive innovation and socio-economic impact.
- Provide valuable insights and analysis of industry trends, regulatory developments and emerging policy issues, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities for the company.
- Establish and maintain strategic collaborations with key external stakeholders to deploy policy programmes

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Significant experience either working with or in government, politics or a regulatory agency in Singapore
- Established deep relationships with national policymakers and diverse set of key opinion leaders
- Proven track record of collaborative approach to problem solving, experience operating effectively with cross-functional partners, and advising senior executives on policy matters
- Experience analysing complex and/or new and emerging policy issues
- Experience in people management
- Experience communicating effectively and strategically at all levels
