Customer Experience

The Customer Experience organization provides a common interface to customers including account and relationship management, acting as the voice of the customer internally and creating demand across our business groups. While bringing deep understanding of local markets for our customer, the CX organization ensures strong alignment between sales and delivery teams.

The team you will be a part of

This position will be part of the growing, global CX Communications team with responsibility for external communications. The ideal candidate will build and execute a communications program in North America that includes customer news/press releases, strategic media relations with technology-focused reporters and audiences and thought leadership campaigns (paid and earned) that span channels and formats, align with Nokia's business objectives, and serve the company's brand and reputation goals.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a demontrated attention to detail and ability to execute creative media relations programs. Bonus if you have enterprise or cloud PR experience.

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of the CX Communications team, you will:

  • Be responsible for increasing awareness for Nokia in North America technology and business tech publications
  • Secure external speaking opportunities and place thought leadership content and bylines, and craft social media posts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology reporters in key North America telecommunications and general IT publications
  • Seek proactive media opportunities to place interesting content
  • Creating compelling pitches and securing media interview for customer news
  • Research and develop new creative communications channels for external messaging
  • Work in partnership with the Corporate Communications team and key functions to integrate and align messaging into North America communications activities and events.

Your skills and experience

Successful candidates will have experience working in a fast-paced global company, an understanding of tech media in North America, and the ability to manage multiple projects, and timelines. They should have an analytical mind and creative spirit, attention to detail, the ability to tackle tasks big and small and keep calm under pressure, and dedication to driving demonstrable results. They also should possess intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in the telecommunications and broader tech industry.

This role requires.

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of in-house or agency communications experience, preferably with at least a couple of years working in product or corporate communications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, or related field
  • Experience developing and pitching creative story ideas to media
  • Experience driving social media strategy and ability to increase visibility of an executive on social and digital platforms
  • Proficient writer with an ability to convert complex ideas into compelling stories
  • Curiosity about what is happening in the technology and telecommunications industry and around the world
  • Ability to develop and manage a full PR program, including news announcements, media relations, speaking opportunities, and compelling thought leadership content
  • Impeccable organization and ability to multi-task
  • A team player with a can-do attitude
  • Outstanding attention to detail, strong listening skills, and excels at editing/proof-reading.
