Public Relations Manager

PLANOLY is looking for a PR Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. This critical role will be responsible for helping tell our story and generate awareness with Creators through a stellar PR strategy. 

PLANOLY is on a mission to help creators simplify social marketing. You will be a key member of our marketing team, building and executing PR campaigns across earned, paid media, events, etc. This role is perfect for someone who is a master storyteller, loves crafting buzz-worthy messages and is comfortable owning a PR strategy end-to-end. The ideal candidate is hyper-engaged and hyper-connected, has exceptional communication skills, is customer-obsessed, incredibly organized, is detail-oriented while keeping track of the big picture, and easily builds effective relationships with team members and external partners.
 

What you’ll do:

Own and execute PR strategy 

• Lead PR strategy, ensuring our message is simple, on-brand and aligned with PLANOLY’s goals and KPI’s
• Establish PR program goals, performance metrics, and tracking plan
• Manage media relations to ensure continued business growth: Build and maintain media lists, conduct media outreach, monitor and keep coverage reports up to date
• Write PLANOLY’s pitches and press releases for product launches and brand opportunities
• Create compelling messaging and story angles, with the goal of inserting PLANOLY into the current news cycle and social conversations
• Identify opportunities for paid media placement and sponsorships 
• Partner with Brand Marketing Manager to execute and own event strategy

• Co-manage end-to-end event sponsorship production responsibilities including research, sponsorship details and invoicing and event production and relationship management 

What you’ll bring:

• 7 + years work experience at a PR, digital, or advertising agency (or else experience in-house at a prominent brand, media outlet, or fast-growing startup)
• Bachelor's degree in related field 
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Extensive network of media (at major consumer outlets), brand and influencer contacts and relationships
• Ability to quickly tailor a message and style for an audience
• Amazing ability to stay organized and manage multiple, complex projects
• Obsessed with keeping up to-date with the latest social trends and pop culture
• Experience working in social or creator space (or are a creator yourself!) a definite plus

Other notes:

• Some travel required for event production
• Austin metro preferred; hybrid work environment - in-office Tuesdays and Wednesday's
