Lime is hiring a Public Relations Specialist to join our dynamic Comms and Brand team! In this role you will report into the Senior Communications Manager for the Americas and Asia Pacific. You will have the opportunity to build and shape Lime’s media presence throughout North America growing the company’s Brand and inspiring riders to decarbonize the way they move around cities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with the media ideally at an agency and/or for a globally recognized brand or consumer product. You will work with and learn from an incredible team of communications and marketing professionals located in cities around the world sharing experiences and lessons on earning media coverage and creating exciting brand moments.

You will be asked to solve problems and come up with big ideas on your own but will always be supported by the team around you. You will have a great deal of freedom to bring your ideas to life so energetic self-starters with strong creative visions are highly encouraged to apply.

We are a remote first company! For many roles we welcome applications from anywhere we operate. It's preferred that the person hired for this role live in a major Lime city e.g. NYC Chicago Washington D.C. Seattle Denver Austin Los Angeles San Francisco

What you'll do:

  • Create and implement public relations and marketing strategies and tactics that grow Lime’s brand awareness and improve brand perception in the region

  • Manage public relations presence across North America building impactful relationships with reporters and earning Lime consistent coverage via proactive initiatives and outreach

  • Work closely with Brand team counterparts to support marketing efforts integrating them seamlessly into public relations strategy and tactics and vice versa

  • Work hand in hand with our local Operations and Government Relations team to ensure public relations and marketing efforts support our strategic goals

  • Help plan and staff PR and marketing events with our Government Relations and Operations teams that build brand awareness and garner positive media coverage

  • Track KPIs and analyze results following initiatives to draw insights and implement operational improvements

About you:

  • Proven track record of developing creative ideas strategies and initiatives to drive media attention and create brand buzz across a wide range of topics

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently and influence stakeholders across multiple time zones.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with local media ideally with a track record of securing earned media in consumer business and trade titles and the passion to grow within the PR field

  • Must have high energy with the ability to maintain a cool demeanor in times of stress enthusiasm for the Lime brand and excitement to work for a growing industry leader.

  • Hungry to develop as a public relations professional and a brand contributor ideally with a thirst for knowledge that keeps you are on top of current news and marketing trends cultural happenings and innovation to ensure relevancy in your work

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-3 years experience developing and executing public relations strategies preferably with experience at an agency and/or for globally recognized brand(s)

  • Experienced in developing and executing campaigns integrated between public relations and marketing with the ability to measure the results of the campaigns

  • Bachelor’s degree

The anticipated salary range for this position is $74000 - 121000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors which may include the candidate’s location of residence the successful candidate's skills experience and other qualifications. In addition to base salary some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance employee performance and management discretion.
