Publication Operations Manager
Job Description
The Publication Operations Manager supports the management and execution of project plans. The role monitors the day-to-day progress of the assigned project plans.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports the scientific strategy team in developing the project proposal and budget (publication planning, medical writing, scientific meetings, etc.)
- Participates in project-related meetings including scheduled meetings, and project kickoff calls
- Participates in client strategy meetings
- Coordinates meeting agendas, meeting events & summaries, and post-meeting actions planning with guidance from the Director/Senior Manager
- Ensures completion of actionable items by conducting follow up with client stakeholders, authors, KOLs, faculty, and internal staff
- Engages client stakeholders, key opinion leaders, authors, and outside vendors at the direction of the senior manager/director
- Coordinates/facilitates/manages activities and projects
- Liaises and coordinates with Creative and Editorial, Meetings and all stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of assets and projects
- Coordinate attendee and faculty recruitment and contracting with the Meeting Manager
- Supports client Executive Lead on special projects, ad hoc initiatives, and business development
- Supports the Executive Lead with tracking of PO establishment, PO utilization, and the invoicing process
- Performs these and other duties as assigned in adherence to the standards and expectations of the company
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical communications/publication planning industry
- A scientific degree or clinical experience will be an advantage
- Account management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Reputation for superb follow-up and responsiveness
- Must be deadline driven
- Computer skills: strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Schedule flexibility and dedicated work ethic
Travel: Minimal
Location: Home-based (remote) or NJ-Princeton office
