About the Role
Howl is scaling quickly and looking to hire an experienced, results-oriented Publisher Partnerships Director to grow publisher partners while helping to operationalize our go to market strategy.
As the Publisher Partnerships Director at Howl, you will play a critical role in managing and developing new and existing partnerships in the Lifestyle category. Your primary responsibility will be to maximize revenue and execute strategic initiatives through collaborative efforts with your publisher partners and cross-functional teams. By leveraging your expertise in working with publishers and your data-driven mindset, you will identify opportunities and drive growth in our partnerships.
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will:
- Develop and nurture relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with publishers, serving as a trusted point of contact and the main advocate for their success on the Howl platform.
- Revenue optimization: Drive revenue growth through proactive analysis, strategic planning, and innovative solutions. Identify opportunities to increase monetization and performance for publishers and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Data analysis and insights: Dive deep into data and analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. Utilize data-driven insights to guide decision-making, recommend improvements, and refine strategies for publishers.
- Collaborative partnership development: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Brand Partnerships, Product, Data, and Sales, to develop and execute on collaborative initiatives that strengthen publisher relationships, enhance content offerings, and drive mutual success.
- Publisher support and enablement: Serve as a resource for publishers, providing guidance, support, and best practices to help them maximize their potential on the Howl platform. Understand their goals and challenges, and work collaboratively to address them.
- Performance tracking and reporting: Monitor partnership performance against key metrics and provide regular reporting to internal stakeholders. Prepare external performance reviews and present insights, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

- Proven experience in publisher partnerships or a similar role in the digital media industry.
- Strong understanding of the publishing landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from data.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with publishers and internal stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and execute on partnership opportunities that align with business objectives.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The base salary range for this role is $145,000-$175,000 USD.
At Howl, we offer a competitive compensation package inclusive of base salary, incentive pay and stock options. Incentive awards are allocated based on individual performance. Certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
