Chest Medicine Associates seeks a full-time, Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician to expand the services of their well-established, independent practice in Portland, Maine. For nearly thirty-five years, the practice has provided regional expertise in pulmonology and critical care.
Chest Medicine Associates has a robust office practice with an AASM-accredited sleep center and a pulmonary function laboratory. They also provide medical and neurological critical care services and consultative pulmonary services to their partner hospitals, MaineHealth Maine Medical Center and Northern Light Mercy Hospital. In addition, they provide regional expertise in interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis, TB, and lung cancer. They have a busy endobronchial ultrasound and robotic bronchoscopy service.
Chest Medicine Associates offers a collegial and intellectually stimulating environment with the opportunity for individual professional development. Many of their physicians are extensively engaged in teaching in the Pulmonary/CCM and Critical Care fellowships and the Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine residency programs at MHMMC.
Requirements of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician:
- Candidates must be BC/BE in pulmonary and critical care. While not required, fellowship training and board certification in sleep medicine are highly desirable.
