The Purchase Order Administrator will be responsible for building all purchase orders for new releases in assigned communities based on scheduled processing dates, change orders, and manually requested purchase orders. This individual will work closely with Estimating Managers, Project Managers, Purchasing Payroll Assistants, Estimators, Purchasing Agents, the Selections Department, Design Center personnel, and other departments as needed. This individual will also participate in department-wide projects and provide general support as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and process purchase orders for each release by creating original budgets and commitments through the start work order process.
  • Process manual purchase order requests submitted by construction.
  • Maintain and track panel changes.
  • Assist construction personnel in resolving purchase order and budget issues.
  • Organize and control filing system for all job files for each address.
  • Office filing as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • From time to time must complete projects with short notice in extreme time constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • The candidate must have taken a career break of 2+ years. A career break is defined as having taken a break from Corporate America any entrepreneurial explorations, transition to academia, or other personal circumstances constitute as a break.
  • Requires at least 1 year of data entry, filing, and general administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
