Job Description

The Purchasing Agent I is an entry-level procurement specialist who, with guidance, applies broad working knowledge of procurement concepts, policies, practices and procedures to procure hardware, software, maintenance and other Information Technology related services, with a focus on office supply purchases as well as coffee/water vendors for BOK Financial.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will provision I.T. equipment, software, associated maintenance as well Notary stamps.

• You will process invoices acquired through the use of a Purchase Order, BOK Financial online portal, or coffee and/or water vendor

• You will add, delete, or modify users in the Taylor Communications and/or Staples Advantage database

• You will receive orders into the BTC purchased via Purchase Order and the documenting thereof and obtaining competitive quotes.

• You will collaborate with vendors regarding product or service information and delivery expectations, as well as, attend and contribute to meetings with staff and other stakeholders.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate's Degree in Business, Computer Technology, or a related field or 1-3 years of practical experience

• Working knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures with the ability to efficiently multi-task multiple concurrent assignments with the ability to meet service level agreements and critical deadlines.
• Working knowledge of purchasing functions (requisitions, purchase orders, invoicing, receipts, procure to pay).
• Strong oral and written communication skills including interpersonal skills
• Moderate PC and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills. Problem solving and conceptual skills including the ability to manage workload through innovative thought processes.
• Working knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Working knowledge of IT technologies, business processes and practices that may include previous experience in an IT environment.
• Ability to organize work flow and process improvement to ensure numerous critical deadlines are met daily
