A bit about the team…

The Mid Frequency Trading Team is a fully automated trading team, trading multiple products across global markets. The team's framework facilitates live trading and historical backtesting and includes the data processing pipelines and research tools necessary for new alpha research. The codebase is predominantly in Python leveraging a number of industry standard libraries for data handling.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Quant Developer to join a team where ideas are shared openly between software engineers, quantitative traders and researchers. Your contribution will make a big difference to the future success of the team. As such, we expect people to be willing to contribute in areas beyond their immediate responsibilities.

Successful candidates must also have a pragmatic approach to problem solving, and be willing to identify and focus on the highest-opportunity tasks. They should also have solid technical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. It is also essential that the successful candidate is willing to spend time sharing knowledge with other team members, as well as learning from them, in order to contribute to the team’s collaborative and open culture.

What your main responsibilities will be...

• Designing, building and maintaining data pipelines
• Work with Quantitative Researchers to productionize and refine trading models
• Build post-trade analysis tooling to observe performance of trading signals
• Support and maintenance of the existing systems and infrastructure
• Applying modern devops paradigms to enhance operational capabilities
• Contributing to the continuous refinement of the desk’s system

To be successful in this role, these are the essential experiences you need…

• 3+ years development experience in a trading environment
• Experience supporting researchers to develop signals and strategies
• Expert proficiency level in python
• Experience using pandas & numpy
• Experience with real time Linux systems
• Good design skills
• Strong understanding of data structures
