Responsibilities:
  • Planning and prioritizing testing activities
  • Helping identify weaknesses and problem areas in the software application
  • Recommending automated software test procedures
  • Tracking software bugs and investigating root causes
  • Growing and leading a team of QA Engineers/Testers
  • Participate in the development, deployment, and administration of QA process, tools, and supporting technologies that will be adopted across large teams

This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 12+ years as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, or relevant position in an Agile Software Development settings
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of junior QA Engineers/Testers
  • Strong experience in defining and executing test strategies, test cases, test data management, defect metrics, defect leakage
  • Deep knowledge of quality engineering and automation to include:
    • Test development, release, and maintenance
      • Web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, load, performance, and end-to-end testing
    • Software quality and testing methodologies
    • Test automation tools/frameworks (e.g. - FitNesse, Cucumber, Selenium, Mockito, JUnit)
    • CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g. - Jenkins)
  • Intermediate knowledge of scripting and other related procedures
  • Ability to work across a diverse tech-stack:
    • Programming Languages: Java, Python, C#/.NET, JavaScript
    • Architecture: Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, Windows services, messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ), AWS/Cloud integration
  • Must have demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior and mid-level management to communicate status updates and issues
  • Excellent communication skills, assertiveness and ability to navigate a matrix organization to extract what you need from stakeholders
  • Able to review/analyze existing processes and recommend improvements - push the status quo and can strategize, plan and execute on new vision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work
  • Understand how functionalities are built and can collaborate with the developers to look at the problem-solution from multiple points of view
  • Prior software development or exposure to high-level programming languages a plus
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident Status for 7 continuous years required
