Job Description

Analyzes business issues, defines requirements, designs computer programs, and/or recommends automated system controls, and protocols to solve organization information issues. The QA Analyst will help lead development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance systems and procedures to ensure that information systems products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements.

Experience: 2-4/+ years' technical experience, in a QA, BA, and/or systems analyst-related role. Strong preference for Blues experience as contractor and/or FTE, to include:
  • System development life cycle
  • Testing, programming, and QA procedures
  • Change management methodologies
  • SQL experience at an intermediate level (queries, coding)
  • Effectively lead cross-functional teams
  • Analyze and develop test specifications and functional requirements
  • Develop process and application system documentation
Preferred qualifications:
  • 2/+ years QA experience using a specific methodology such as TQM, Six Sigma, COBIT, etc.
  • Experience in administering change management software
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance business processes and requirements

Education must meet one of the following requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, related field of study, or equivalent work experience* (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)
  • International Degree equivalency
  • Applicable certification(s) as defined by the leader + 2 years additional experience
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study, + 2 years additional experience

Your day may look like:
  • Determines operational objectives, gathers information, and evaluates output requirements and formats.
  • Works closely with key stakeholders, end users, etc. to analyze, define, model, and document system requirements.
  • Evaluates the impact of changes to IT Systems and/or IT Infrastructure.
  • Recommends and participates in the architecture design and implementation of standards, tools, and methodologies.
  • Aligns system and business capability with corporate strategy.
  • May develop organization change management framework and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Ensures the program functions according to the design specifications.
  • Ensures product specifications meet and support departmental standards and operating procedures.
  • Prioritizes user requirements, oversees system upgrades, and researches new tools.
