About the team and what we’ll build together

You are a QA Analyst with 2+ years of software testing experience and will bring your technical skills and industry best practices of manual and automated testing to our agile teams. As the QA Analyst you will test user interfaces and micro-services running in a cloud environment.  

How you will make an impact   

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining test strategies based on the business requirements provided by product owners. 
  • Partner with product owners and development teams; provide analysis for the creation and maintenance of test plans as requirements evolve. 
  • Partner with development and IT teams; provide analysis for the creation and maintenance of test environments as requirements evolve. 
  • Perform user interface and API testing using REST and SOAP; validating the business rules, calculations, data integrity, integration and connectivity with third party software and vendors. 
  • Condition test data to support the defined testing plans in SQL, JSON, and XML formats. 
  • Diagnose issues with development teams, verifies testing results using SQL, JSON, and XML formats. 
  • Responsible for the maintenance and promotion of builds to the QA test environments. 
  • Perform verification testing for UAT and Production builds; assist IT Operations and developments teams diagnosing issues. 
  • Communication of status and executed test plans in daily team meetings. 
  • Contribute policy and procedure documentation to the security and compliance team. 
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

What you need to be successful

  • 2+ years of REST or SOAP API testing experience required
  • 1+ years of experience writing and reading SQL statements 
  • 2+ years of Scrum/Agile experience, including working on teams following scrum/agile methodologies using scrum/agile and defect management tools like: JIRA (preferred), Rally, Mantis preferred 
  • 2+ years of web/mobile UI application testing experience 
  • Experience contributing to test automation efforts with exposure to test automation tools and frameworks: Selenium (Python), unittest, SOAPUI (Groovy scripting desired), Bamboo, Bitbucket 
  • Experience with cross-browser testing 
  • Experience with software release/build processes 
  • Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies 
  • Experience creating test strategies using defined acceptance criteria 
  • Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using; SOAPUI (preferred), Postman, JMeter 
  • Experience with SQL SELECT (including JOIN queries), INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE 
  • Experience with test management systems like: qTest (preferred), TestLink, Zephyr 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to effectively perform tasks within the estimated level of effort 
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and ready to learn
