Job Description
LabCorp is seeking a Laboratory Quality Analyst to join our team in Birmingham, AL! The Quality Assurance team provides vital support to the laboratories, senior management as well as our clients, and other LabCorp sites. The Quality Analyst will be responsible for supporting projects and activities related to quality assurance, quality improvement, quality training, and other responsibilities of the Quality Assurance department.
The work schedule for this position is 4 x 10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides Quality support for regional laboratory. The position is
- Responsible for auditing each technical lab twice a year and non-technical departments annually.
- Responsible for ordering, disseminating and entering into the applicable agency's database approximately 1-6 proficiency surveys a week.
- Responsible for training and upkeep of the regional lab's electronic document system.
- Assists Quality Manager when hosting accreditation agencies for inspections.
- Responsible for assisting Quality Manager for training and monthly meeting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science required in Medical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related area (as required by CLIA)
- Greater than 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred; quality experience is a plus
- Previous experience with an electronic data management system is a plus
- General knowledge of laboratory regulations (CAP/CLIA/ISO) and licensing requirements
