Our employees show up every day ready to innovate and create with one goal in mind: success for our customers.

If you’re ready to revolutionize the future of industrial robotics and possess an entrepreneurial spirit and zeal for achieving results, we’d like to hear from you!

About the Role: QA Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst owns the expense of product validation. You are keenly aware of the added expenses in production and are able to minimize the amount of validation occurring post-product delivery. Your main focus is to ensure the product capabilities are clearly written and match the behavior of the product before it reaches the customer. In other words, you lead the effort, making certain the product does what the company expects it to do.  When the comparison fails, you immediately voice the risk through clear and effective communication working with the software engineer in test automating this comparison. Within this scope, you assume the role of a consultant collaborating most closely with the Software Engineer in Test. Together you are solving the test Oracle problem through a myriad of test strategies such as independent implementation, functional comparison, and value limit checking.

A potential day in the life of SVT’s QA Analyst:

  • Participate in daily stand-ups for multiple teams
  • Take product ideas from ideation to test results
  • Utilize tools during the testing cycle while maintaining testing readability and report-ability
  • Take the test oracle problem seriously
  • Write detailed documentation (installation guides, etc.)
  • Work closely with teams to deliver releases with a predictable cadence
  • Work closely with Software Engineer in Test to manage tests as a readable, reportable source of truth

Required skills/qualifications:

  • 5+ years of test composition, management, and reporting (I.e UAT, integration, performance, security)
  • 5+ years of navigating multiple infrastructure environments for testing (e.g. development, staging, QA)
  • 3+ years of API testing
  • Comfortable with ambiguity working within a startup
  • Impeccable attention to small details as well as the big picture
  • Work well with external and internal teams
  • Must be authorized to legally work in U.S. for any employer (without the need for sponsorship)
  • Must be local to the Norfolk, VA area and work onsite

You get bonus points If you also:

  • Experience working with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
  • Working knowledge of SLAs and SLOs
  • Excited about working with tcp/ip and protocols further down the stack
  • Experience using tools like zap, codeQL, postman, burp
  • Experience fuzzing
  • Working knowledge of digital twins

About us

  • Competitive salary and compensation structure
  • 401k with generous company match
  • Health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Unlimited, flexible PTO and generous holiday schedule
  • Flexible parental leave
  • Fun, innovative team and remote-friendly culture
