QA Analyst

As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will be a key member of the Business Intelligence R&D delivery team. Working predominantly in Agile environment, you will be working closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are being met to the right quality standards.

You should:

- Have required technical/functional knowledge and experience to make you successful

- Work using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information

- Work with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager

Description:

• Responsible for delivery of quality aspects of projects & initiatives

_ Implement test strategy

_ Create, review, maintain and perform all functional tests

_ Define test cases from customer's requirements and ensure traceability with specifications.

_ Coordinate with Product Managers and other stake holders for the assessment of requirements and create functional tests which cover the functionality

_ Foresee/forecast risks, gaps and impact

_ Be part of regression team and work on execution of tests using the test frameworks, monitor the test results and perform reporting for execution

_ Write test plan (functional and/or non-functional and/or non-regression).

_ Ensure improvement of non-regression test repository in the Change Request plan.

• Design and perform tests

_ Design and develop test cases and scripts, as needed.

_ Prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases.

_ Give go/no-go for the customer's test campaign.

_ Be responsible for the project, product or release quality control.

• Fix Problem Tracking Records

_ Provide information to developers in order to fix defects

_ Check PTR fix and give go/no-go for the load of Production PTRs

_ Document software defects.

• Share your knowledge

_ Participate in specification reviews to give input on testing requirements.

_ Report and communicate on test activities to the line organization, software developers and product definitions analysts.

• Communication and Coordination

_ Interface and communicate with the stakeholders

_ Ensure delivery without gaps

_ Maintain good interpersonal relations with stakeholders

_ Coordinate User Acceptance Testing across different departments and stakeholders

Education:

Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification, a plus.

Relevant work experience:

• 5+ years of experience working as Quality Assurance Engineer in SaaS model• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies• Hands on experience in different types of functional testing• Hands on experience in data driven testing

o Using SQL for data validation• Hands on experience in API Testing• Good to have:

o Exposure to automation testing using Selenium

o Exposure to programming language such as Java, JavaScript

Business understanding

Knowledge of travel industry and hotel in particular is a plus

Skills:
