QA Automation Developer

Our Quality Assurance Automation Developers play an extremely critical role in the company by supporting the design, development, testing, installation, and ongoing support of Payzer products.

As a Quality Assurance Automation Developer, you will be responsible for working with our user experience designers, product managers and engineers to ensure that you understand the design and development of new and existing products so that you can test functionality within our sprint release windows to ensure flawless execution of product releases.

You will work to:

• Automation Script Development - Complete Automation of the story tests using Selenium- Java, Javascript, as some of the scripting languages utilized.
• Implement and execute test automation scripts, frameworks, and tooling as directed. This includes both legacy functionality (regression) and current sprint deliverables.
• Understand requirements, user stories, and use cases to test code and prepare for production implementation.
• Suggest adjustments to the database schema, user interfaces, and business logic modules as necessary.
• Develop common Test Classes and Methods for reusability, handle test libraries and improve the Test Framework
• Continuously test existing functionality manually and using automation
• Identify and report issues
• Participate in design sessions to ensure comprehension of new functionality
• Participate in the build and execution of testing automation
• Document and maintain testing procedures and processes
• Support the installation and flawless execution of Payzer products

• Strong grasp of web fundamentals, command of Chrome and Firefox Dev Tools for finding optimal locators and debugging
• Must have experience with Selenium
• Must have extensive experience writing test scripts with any JavaScript testing framework (Nightwatch, Mocha, Jasmine, Protractor)
• Must have extensive experience writing test scripts with any Java testing framework (TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber)
• Android and iOS Testing with Appium
• Comfortable using the Command Line Interface or Terminal
• Experience with the Android SDK and Emulator preferred
• Experience with common tooling: Git, any CI/CD Version Control System (preferably GitLab but also Jenkins, Travis, Circle, Bamboo, GitHub, etc.), Docker, Docker Compose, Containers
• Nice to have: Worked in an environment with NodeJS and npm, familiar with Maven and Pom
• Nice to have: Experience with WordPress, Symfony
• Strong understanding of CSS and CSS selectors
• Experience in Javascript, if-statements, for-loops, functions, anonymous functions, maps, and objects
• Knowledge of Git: git clone, fetch, pull, push, commit, branch, and checkout will be a big plus.
