QA Automation Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a mid-level QA Automation Engineer to assist in expanding the test automation of our fixed income calc and data applications. The candidate should have experience developing test frameworks for Desktop or Web Applications.  Candidate should have some mid-level programming knowledge.

How You'll Help Take Us There

• Convert manual test scripts into automated test cases
• Write test plans to validate business requirements and system stability
• Report results of test execution
• Create new scripts and maintain existing scripts to support testing as needed
• Set-up and help maintain specific datasets for testing
• Work collaboratively with manual testers and development team
• Generate test metrics for both manual and automated tests
• Help develop a “Testing culture” for the development teams where they are deployed

What We’re Looking for

• Proven proficiency with QA automation for web application development with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Programming experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, and interacting with RESTful APIs.
• Selenium or other Web Application Testing Engines are required
• Experience with Junit and Mockito is required. Experience with Spring would be preferred
• Object Oriented automation testing framework design
• Familiarity with Cucumber or other BDD testing frameworks would be advantageous.
• Basic JSP and/or Angular JS concepts would be preferred.
• Basic UNIX shell scripting is preferred
• Experience with Maven or Gradle is preferred
• Understanding of Agile software development lifecycle
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $100,000 USD to $135,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
