QA Automation Engineer

Why this role matters

We are looking for a SDET to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions and would involve in minor developer activities. This role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before deployments to ensure software runs smoothly and meets customer needs.

What you will do

• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Developing Software applications with the Software developer team
• Automate the regression test suite and perform thorough regression testing
• Design and implementation of internal automation tools for QA
• Building security, load, performance test suites for our applications.
• Load testing of the services and applications
• Writing test plans and test cases for running manual and automated tests on our backend and front-end applications
• Write integration tests for the backend applications
• Setup CI/CD pipelines for promoting the automated scripts to different environments during SDLC
• Develop reusable test designs and test cases within an agile model
• Responsible for running automated tests for each release cycle in different environments and report/fix issues found during the run.
• Review and provide feedback to any new/existing automation tests in the application.
• Should be able to collaborate and find out the best practices followed by other teams across the organization and add it to our team.

Where you will work

This position is expected to report to our Holmdel, NJ office on a hybrid-remote basis

What you will bring

• 5+ year experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools. Cypress is preferred
• Hands-on experience with writing integration tests for backend applications
• Setting up the automation framework and building automated scripts from scratch
• Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration systems.
• Experience with at least one programming language like Python/Java/Javascript
