QA Automation Engineer

We're R5 Labs, the tech company behind Edgemony and Product Heroes! We're looking for a talented QA Automation Engineer to join our remote team and help major American fintech companies bring their products to life. This is a pivotal role where you'll make a real impact.

Job Purpose:

As an QA Automation Engineer at R5 Labs EU, your primary responsibility is to perform test planning and execution for multiple software products and releases, specifically supporting large, global, multinational fintech organizations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in different locations (India, USA), understanding requirements, preparing automated solutions, and ensuring quality throughout the development process. Your role involves reporting and tracking defects and collaborating with various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and improve automated test suites using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG.
• Execute automated regression tests to ensure software stability after each change.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD processes with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide continuous feedback.
• Create and execute load tests to verify system scalability.
• Implement security tests to identify and resolve vulnerabilities.
• Document test plans, procedures, and results.
• Collaborate with senior management and technical groups globally.
• Execute the test plan, monitor results, and report progress effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Cypress, Postman).
• Experience in performance and security testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
• A high level of proactivity and a passion for testing.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in SQL.
• Experience with ticketing tools like JIRA and familiarity with their workflows.
• Knowledge in Merchant Onboarding.
• Knowledge in Cards and Payments.
