QA Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate QA Automation Engineer (Cypress) to join our quality assurance team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our web applications by designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests using Cypress. You will work closely with our development and QA teams to drive test automation best practices and help deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define test automation strategies.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end test suites using Cypress to validate web applications.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing.
• Identify and report defects, track issues, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.
• Write clear and concise test documentation, including test plans and test cases.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in test automation and share knowledge within the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of non internship Industry experience in test automation using Cypress or JavaScript is required.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern web development technologies (HTML5, CSS3, React, Angular, etc.).
• Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman or similar.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, best practices, and test design techniques.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or similar is a plus.
• Experience with performance testing and load testing tools is a plus.

Please note that this is an in-office role, and the successful candidate will be required to work from our office location in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

Shift Timing: 1 PM - 10 PM IST
