QA Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer is responsible for creating automated Mobile App/GUI test scripts, executing automated test plans & scripts to verify that new or modified software programs function according to business requirements; as well as conforming to established guidelines. The role acts in concert with and support of application development from Testing perspective to assure the quality of new and existing applications, including eCommerce, Middleware, Order Management, and Data warehouse.

• Accountable for validating software solutions in various testing environments.
• Strong functional testing background including defining test automation strategy, test plan, test script design and test script development/ execution.
• Interacts/Engages with other engineers to identify, reproduce, and document defects, bugs, or issues.
• The role will include responsibility to create new automated test scripts based on newly developed frameworks, adapt test automation frameworks for new features and functionality, work with the development team to understand and write test automation use-case scenarios, and production support of released software.
• Implement cross browser/ platform Web/Mobile test automation and reporting.
• Implement CI-CD and integrate the created test automation scripts with the Continuous Integration platform.
• Perform code version management and provide review/approve/reject automation code merges.
• Experience with Agile methodology - participating in scrums and working with Jira to track work progress.

Education & Experience:

• Candidate must have a strong understanding of Java standard processes, background in writing well-structured automation code.
• 4+ years of full stack Java scripting experience (preferably used as the primary language in last job).
• Has written automated test scripts using Selenium (Java) TestNG framework with Maven/Jenkins/Sauce Labs or with Eggplant DAI Functional/Server & Jenkins.
• Expertise in Eggplant DAI Functional/Server with model creation & maintenance (and CI-CD) will be an added advantage.
• 4-5 years of experience - Designed and developed automated scripts for functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing using Eggplant DAI or Selenium Webdriver.
• Skilled in other test frame works such as TestNG, Cucumber, Cypress, Robot, Serenity etc.
• Skilled with Xpath/CSS and Html.
