Job Description:
This position reports to the Leader, Data Quality and supports the Enterprise Digital Solutions Group (EDSG) quality assurance process for multiple data assets. The Professional, Quality Automation Engineer, develops QA tools to help review, analyze, and ensure the highest quality of data is loaded into the production databases. This position will help evaluate current manual processes and provide automation suggestions. This position will also implement automation initiatives within Quality space. Job Duties:
- Evaluate current manual process to identify automation opportunities
- Design and create automated tests to ensure data and system quality
- Suggest automated testing procedures and process improvements
- Coordinate with the team to discuss verification protocols
- Prepare and maintain automation scripts to ensure scripts are up to date
- Troubleshoot automation software/script issues
- Reviewing technical specifications and design documents to create test plans and test scripts
- Monitor assurance metrics and process results
- Test/validate business rules for automated QC Tool for Production data load
- Utilize tools (Microsoft SQL Server) to analyze, query and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures.
- Maintain inventory and ensure enforcement of data quality rules
- Create and execute automated regression tests for critical junctions to ensure preservation of existing data integrity
- Work alongside other QA team members to ensure data and system quality
- Interface with Data Operations / Governance to receive / provide inputs with respect to data quality reporting
- Coordinate activities/implementations with other projects, work groups, and management at all levels
Job Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant discipline preferred
- 1-2 year in test automation preferred
- 2+ years of related data experience preferred
- Familiarity with real estate/public records industry is preferred
- Complete understanding of automation systems and databases
- Understanding of different types of testing methods like white box and black box testing
- Regularly works on analysis of multiple situations or multiple points of data
- Regularly makes recommendations to department policies.
- Proficient in programming language such as Python, Java, etc.
- Proficient working with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in designing and completing business analysis and drawing credible conclusions and recommendations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Clearly convey technical issues to technical and non-technical team members both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work well in a matrix organization. Ability to work well in a diverse environment
- Advanced SQL skills and experience creating complex queries
