Job Description:

SUMMARY

Black Knight's QA Automation Engineers are focused on automating test cases from scratch for enterprise applications. Responsible for automating test cases specifically for C# and Java. This QA Automation Engineer will work on collaborative team and will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications, designing and developing automated tests that are repeatable and maintainable to deliver quality product.

Must be local or willing to relocate to Jacksonville, FL

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates the initial test designs, writes the scripts, installs the automation testing protocols, and reports the results
• Converts test scripts to Java, C#, Swift
• Works with Product, DevOps and Engineering team to plan and develop repeatable automated test suites
• Validates APIs and automate API tests
• Develops and maintains database queries to support data management for automation test suites
• Participates in project meetings with other technical staff, business owners and subject matter experts
• Uses IBM Rational Functional Tester (RFT), Selenium, TestFlight, XCode or other automation tools to automate test cases in a manner that promotes code reuse while reducing the cost to maintain
• Reviews application in progress of development to test and ensure compliance with overall design parameters and corporate development standards
• Reviews test results and directs further development
• May mentor or guide other automation engineers and testers
• Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
• Requires 2+ years experience of QA automation engineering
• Experience working with development technologies such as Java or C#
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (or any relational DB e.g. Oracle)
• Experience developing and executing API automated tests utilizing knowledge of API concepts/designs
• Knowledge of UI testing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Conceptual understanding of at least one Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language and application development principles
• Experience working with front end frameworks such as Angular or React
• Experience with Selenium automation testing tool
• Knowledge of Cucumber testing tool.
• Experience working in a TDD or BDD environment
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), TFS or GIT
• Understanding of the Agile methodology
• Knowledge of Mortgage or MSP experience
• Ability to work with offshore and distributed teams
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels
