QA Automation Engineer I

We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join our company as an Automation Engineer. As part of our team, you develop and maintains automation test code built on various technologies in order to support automated testing during the SDLC life cycle.

The QA Automation Engineer will be part of a cross-functional team comprised of local and off-shore team members and will be responsible for the development of automated tests and supporting automation efforts for new and existing software applications and services. The candidate will work collaboratively within a development team, in order to prioritize and expedite the automation process for API, performance and UI browser tests.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and resourceful with a high interest in working with different technologies. This role will require the use of agile practices to test automation deliverables and ensure that the necessary test coverage is in place. The QA Automation Engineer will analyze automated test results and prepare distributable reports as well as closely follow and track software defects found through the automated testing process.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
• At least 3 years experience within Automation Engineer position previously, using Selenium & RESTful web services
• Understanding of QA methodologies and the SDLC
• Ability to troubleshoot application problems and perform complex tests with the goal of providing a high quality end product
• Experience in writing SQL queries
• Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration servers
• Experience with TestRail for both manual and automation test management
• Creative thinking skills
• Ability to communicate well to other members of the development team
• Experience with JavaScript and knowledge of Python
• Experience with UI end-to-end tests written using Selenium
• Experience with API tests using Postman
• Knowledge of AWS
• Experience with load testing using JMeter
• Passionate about software testing and delivering high quality code
• Experience with mobile test automation tools (iOS/Android)
