Job Description:
SUMMARY
QA Automation Engineers are focused on automating test cases from scratch for enterprise applications. Responsible for automating test cases specifically for .NET, Java, C#, and Selenium. This QA Automation Engineer will work on collaborative team and will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications, designing, and developing automated tests that are repeatable and maintainable to deliver quality product.
LOCATION
Hybrid work from our Jacksonville, FL office is required with flexibility to work remote up to 2 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates the initial test designs, writes the scripts, installs the automation testing protocols, and reports the results
- Converts test scripts to C#
- Works with Product, DevOps and Engineering team to plan and develop repeatable automated test suites
- Develops and maintains Web application UI automation.
- Validates APIs and automate API tests
- Develops and maintains database queries to support data management for automation test suites
- Participates in project meetings with other technical staff, business owners and subject matter experts
- Uses Selenium or other automation tools to automate test cases in a manner that promotes code reuse while reducing the cost to maintain
- Reviews application in progress of development to test and ensure compliance with overall design parameters and corporate development standards
- Reviews test results and directs further development
- May mentor or guide other automation engineers and testers
- Performs other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- Requires 4+ years experience doing QA automation engineering or application development
- Experience with QA Automation
- Conceptual understanding of at least one Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language and application development principles
- Experience working with development technologies such as Java, C#, or JavaScript
- Experience with Database Management Tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or MySQL
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with front end frameworks such as Angular or React
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium
- Experience developing Restful API automation with Json or XML using API testing tools such as Soap UI or Postman
- Experience working in a TDD or BDD environment
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or GIT
- Understanding of the Agile methodology
- Ability to work with offshore and distributed teams
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels
- 5 - 7+ years of software development experience highly preferred
