Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Lead to join our team in Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for performing the testing of Finance products which involves Test Planning, Execution, Automation, Regression and Production verification to ensure all the business product’s quality requirements are met. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise the requirements of the products, and you will lead the quality driven testing across the business.
What you’ll do:Â
- Enable the team to ensure delivery of high quality products through contribution to the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality strategy for the platform and services the team is responsible for.
- Provide guidance and mentorship across the team on matters related to testing practice and approach
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise test requirements, and to ensure that all features and changes are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts to ensure the platform and services are thoroughly tested and meet the expectations of our users and the business
- Design, development, implementation and maintenance of a test automation suite integrated with the team’s CI/CD pipeline for the purpose of supporting a continuous quality approach
- Identify, triage, manage and track defects, working with Stakeholders, Product Managers, Developers and Software Engineers to ensure they are resolved effectively
- Participate in the planning, guidance and execution of user acceptance testing and other testing activities
- Remain up-to-date with industry best practice and trends in QA and testing, leading the testing activities and continuous improvements in process within the team
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:Â
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance (Software Engineering experience will also be considered)
- Strong understanding of, and 2+ years experience with automated testing tools, frameworks and processes (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, TestRail, etc)
- Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, C# or Java)
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle, testing methodologies and tools with experience working in an agile organisation as part of a scrum team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues Experience coaching and mentoring teams in the area of testing and quality practice
- Experience working with a fintech or with financial software development and knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements relevant to the fintech industry is a plus
