QA ENGINEER

Under the supervision and general direction of the of Architecture and Development Management, this role will be responsible for working with business stakeholders, solution architects, data architects, and the Information Technology and Services (IT&S) Department to identify and define custom software application QA testing needs that require to develop robust solutions to achieve business outcomes. Working within WelbeHealth architecture standards and design patterns, the QA Engineer is responsible for understanding the business requirement and creating test scripts, and automation scripts to perform the functionals and integration testing. The QA Engineer regularly and directly collaborates with the development and business teams. Collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to promote WelbeHealth values, team culture, and mission.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develops detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
  • Contributes to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, builds test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria.
  • Automates the test cases in User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium/Tosca.
  • Builds and uses test data required to accomplish the execution of test cases.
  • Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results.
  • Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration), and report errors and failures.
  • Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging.
  • Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression.)
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts.
  • Ownership in end-end testing.
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions.
  • Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation.
  • Ensure that all the standards and processes are being implemented within a project.
  • Adhere to WelbeHealth Agile DevOps processes, tools, and environments for requirements writing test scripts.
  • Ensures the features provide the security and data integrity required to meet overall department goals toward PCI and HIPAA compliance.
  • Must be willing and can work a varied schedule that may include evening nights, weekends and overtime.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about team members, participants, and families.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience, relevant professional experience may be substituted. Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in creating Test scripts and doing Manual and automation testing of Software products.
  • Ability to use Azure DevOps Test suits.
  • Selenium, Manual, and Automation testing and knowledge around SDLC and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Rest API testing.
  • Understanding of Release Management principles with experience working in a strongly structured environment of managing release levels and deployments will be highly valuable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with DevOps, using Git, and an understanding of the principles desired.

Salary/Wage base range for this role starts at $90,000.00 -$120,000 DOE Bonus + Equity. WelbeHealth offers a competitive total rewards package that includes, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
