The Role

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer with hands-on industry experience and a real passion for testing and improving product quality. You should be able to review and analyze technical requirements, gain a thorough understanding of project scope and create and execute test cases that are aligned with project parameters, test strategy and testing goals. You will work closely with the product and business teams to help us improve our suite of products and launch new and exciting features.  

What You’ll Do 

Your responsibility will include duties that may be assigned to you from time to time by management and consistent with your position, including but not limited to the following:

• Develop and maintain test cases following approved software methodology guidelines
• Execute manual and automated test cases in a Desktop or Mobile environment
• Write automated API/Backend  and End to End UI tests, Tools can be learned on the job.
• Analyze existing automated test cases for edge cases and/or quality of the test and suggest changes accordingly
• Document test execution results and report testing activity status
• Assist with creating documentation such as test management plans, use cases, and test scenario templates
• Detect errors, research the origin of errors and recommend bug fixes
• Review technical documentation and help maintain knowledge about software releases
• Install/update software on machines in test environments
• Maintain industry/technical knowledge base and facilitate/maintain industry relationships
• Demonstrate a commitment to provide customer-focused quality service
• Perform various types of Higher Order Tests including Function, Stress, Usability, Performance, Configuration & Recoverability tests

Required Skills & Experience [must haves to be considered for this role]

• At least 3 years experience as a Software Application QA or Test Engineer, or equivalent
• A Bachelors or a Masters degree in computer science (or related)
• Experience with a variety of testing tools (e.g. Cypress, Behave, Appium, Selenium Webdriver)
• Broad knowledge of Software Testing and QA best practices, industry trends, and emerging technology in your area of expertise. Highly detail oriented, analytical and data driven
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working with multi-functional agile teams and delivering products, collaborating cross functionally. 
• The ability to accomplish complex engineering tasks independently and capacity to work in a high growth, fast-paced environment.
• Experience collaborating with developers on test automation scenarios, by pairing, reviewing and coaching on testing best practices

At Sharebite, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and location.

The base compensation range for this role is $90k - $120k per year, however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate's qualifications, skills and competencies.
