QA Engineer

We help local marketers, media companies, agencies, and channel sales organizations leverage our proprietary advertising software platform, Ui.Marketing.

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer whose primary responsibilities include testing software, designing and building out test cases, and automating tests where appropriate. You will work closely with all of our engineering teams, including Product, Development, UX, Support, and your fellow QA team members to ensure the applications’ functionality consistently meet expectations.

• Test stories for acceptance during ongoing development sprints
• Automate tests for functionality when appropriate
• Create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation
• Work collaboratively within high-performance teams (e.g. product managers, developers, UX engineers) to champion product quality for our clients
• Escalate critical issues, blockers, and risks to the appropriate channels in a timely manner to minimize the impact on project timelines
• Identify, document, and track defects according to the company’s standards in our bug tracking system
• Debug and troubleshoot defects to help our developers fix issues efficiently

• Remote applicants welcome! This role has the flexibility to be either fully remote or hybrid. 
• Remote team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
• Our HQ is in Denver, Colorado. Our fun, downtown location is open for those who wish to work in the office, set visitor meetings, and collaborate with coworkers in person. Requirements

Skills

• Experience with a test case management tool, such as TestRail or other
• Experience with manual and automated testing of APIs for both internal and external use
• Excellent communicator, both spoken and written
• Understanding of modern software development practices and methodologies
• Experience with the Linux operating system and bash or python scripting
• Understanding of multiple-environment setups and how to test efficiently in each
• Ability to dive in, learn, explore, and suggest solutions independently as well as collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

• Ideally a preferred candidate would have at least 1+ years of experience
• Experience with Postman
• Experience with Javascript, Python, Bash, and/or Java
• Experience with GitHub
• Understanding microservice architecture and how microservices interact with each other
