As a QA Engineer III on the Aya Healthcare Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) rapid response and remediation (HOT) team you will be focused on fixing bugs and delivering hot fixes, along with playing a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and availability of our organization's systems and applications. SRE teams are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that are highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and resilient.
As a QA Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to test hotfix releases to identify and report bugs and issues. You will work closely with other QA engineers, developers, Site Reliability/DevOps Engineers, Database Engineers/DBAs, and business stakeholders to reproduce, isolate, and diagnose problems and to develop and implement fixes and hotfixes quickly and efficiently. Success in this role requires a strong background in software testing and quality assurance, as well as a deep understanding of software development, systems engineering, and operational excellence. You will be part of a team that is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions and improving the reliability and performance of your systems.Â
This person in this role should be located in PST or MST time zones. This person may need to be available non-core business hours when there are 10 pm PST HOT releases.Â

Responsibilities:Â
- Writing Gherkin feature files
- Create automation scripts using Cypress/Typescript
- Automation run reviews and bug logging
- Optimize team's efficiency in Cypress automation by providing assistance to the team members who need help
- Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate quality testing activities
- Maintain and apply strong understanding of business practices to effectively fulfill responsibilities while working on multiple high-priority tasks
- Design, develop and implement scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development, using a strong understanding of security-based design patterns
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Participate in scrum agile development process
Required Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- 8+ years of strong/advanced experience in software quality assurance
- Strong/advanced hands-on experience with automated testing using Cypress
- Hands-on experience with writing Gherkin feature files
- Strong/advanced experience with JavaScript/Typescript
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Microsoft stack, .Net, and C# hands on knowledge is a plus
- Mobile application testing experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be an annual salary of $125,000 to $130,000. Â
The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.Â
