QA Engineering Lead, Data Tech & Information Mgmt. - Atlanta, GA, Hybrid
Essential Functions:
- Proactively monitor and manage the overall data quality of the enterprise data warehouse and reporting.
- Create validation processes and have accountability for ensuring data accuracy across all data sources, data lakes, data warehouse tables, data models and reports.
- Effectively logs data quality issues using standard tools.
- Develop quality assurance measures and testing standards for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), data models, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles in relation to the SGI data landscape.
- Evaluates formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, and issues.
- Analyzes documentation and technical specifications of any data deliverable/artifact under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
- Tests any new data deliverable to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
- Ability to create/edit/manipulate scripts and processes for automation testing.
- Participating in continued support of integrated data application systems and troubleshooting and optimizing any functional issues that may arise.
- Work with offshore QA Analysts and Developers to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance and quality.
- Analyze functional requirements and define the test approach for features and feature areas by identifying needs for test data, environments, and tools.
- Understanding of different testing types and their applicability in different environments and situations.
- Analyze user stories for testability and scope of test effort.
- Provide agile scrum team with best estimate of test effort.
- Implement and execute test automation scripts, frameworks, and tooling as directed. This includes both legacy functionality (regression) and current sprint deliverables.
- Continuously develop and improve test strategies, create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Create and maintain regression test suites.
- Developing, maintaining and executing automated test suites to ensure product quality.
- Coordinate and manage automated testing efforts for concurrent projects.
- Lead certain project assigned as needed.
- Mentor/Coach QA resources as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required. 6+ years' hands-on QA experience as a tester for major application integration and/or major application product release. Equivalent combination of education and experience might be considered.
- Experience in Backend testing such as writing SQL queries required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with any Automation Framework required.
- Experience in working in performance testing required.
- Hands-on experience testing API web services (REST & SOAP) required.
- Working knowledge and experience using Agile Scrum Methodology required.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Previous experience in leading, mentoring or coaching QA team required.
- Strong communication skill and team spirit.
