QA Functional Engineer

About you

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years as a QA analyst plus experience as a lead (Desired).
• Experience with API testing.
• Experience with Automation Testing tools and frameworks (This is a plus).
• Experience with tools for mobile-based applications such as device farms, emulators, simulators, physical devices (For iOS and Android).
• Working knowledge in performance testing (This is a plus).
• English is a requirement, as you will be working directly with US-based clients.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

• Provide service to assigned clients in designing, implementing and executing test cases.
• Develop and review test policies and test strategies for the company.
• Plan the test activities based on test objectives and risks.
• Coordinate the test plans with project managers, development managers, agile teams and others.
• Initiate the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of tests, monitor test progress, results and check the status of exit criteria (or definition of done).
• Prepare and deliver test progress reports and test summary reports.
• Introduce suitable metrics for measuring test progress and evaluating the quality of the testing.
• Report any findings, defects or ambiguities, and help with the prioritization and criticality definition.
• Support the selection and implementation of tools to support the test process.
• Promote and advocate the testers, the test team, and the test profession within the organization.
• Coach the team to improve technical skills.
