QA Lead

We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer for Snorkel Flow, our end-to-end, data first development platform for enterprise AI. As the Lead QA Engineer, you will play a key role in owning the testing process, building robust automated testing frameworks, and developing comprehensive automated test cases. This highly visible position will allow you to interact with co-founders, principal engineers, product managers, and field representatives, presenting a unique opportunity to define this role from the ground up and execute successfully in a dynamic startup environment.

• Define the test strategy and create test plans that represent real customer workloads. As a self-driven QA lead, you will have the freedom to shape the QA processes, optimizing and scaling testing for our AI platform.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and implement automation frameworks. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the high quality of Snorkel Flow's features and functionalities
• Utilize your experience in testing UI-focused applications to ensure the seamless functionality, responsiveness, and visual appeal of Snorkel Flow. Lead the QA efforts specifically targeted at UI components, guaranteeing an exceptional user experience for our enterprise AI development platform
• Lead the establishment and implementation of testing methodologies, tooling, and best practices to cover testing and quality needs effectively. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the overall product quality
• Be a strong proponent of product quality, conducting root cause analysis for defects in the product, and presenting valuable insights to the team for continuous improvement.
• Work closely with customer-facing field teams, product managers, and engineering to incorporate feedback, ensuring that test processes for new features are seamlessly integrated into the product development process
• Have on call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team
• Work a hybrid schedule with one or two days per week in our Redwood City HQ and work remotely with "No Meeting" Tuesdays and Thursdays

• BA/BS degree or above with 5+ years of experience planning, designing and executing testing frameworks for enterprise services
• Hands-on experience in design, implementation and maintenance of high quality UI, API and platform automation suites
• Experience in software development with Selenium, Python, JavaScript, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages
• Ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced startup environment, where your innovative thinking and proactive approach will drive positive change
• Some experience developing and adapting testing frameworks for product that run in various deployments such as cloud-based (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises

• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git or other version control software
• Experience with project management tools (eg Jira)

The salary range for our Tier 1 locations of San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles & New York is $160,000.00 - 180,000.00.
