Requirements

The QA Manager is responsible for the stability of the platform and ultimately for the quality of any new feature or product change. This is accomplished through ownership over the QA department, close communication and collaboration with the Development Team and with the Product Team, and through constantly innovating new ideas and processes to further improve the QA department's efficiency. The QA Manager will have strong management skills and will be comfortable leading a team, assigning tasks, and reporting to engineering management on both the departments process, goals and provide quantifiable data on how those goals will be measured. The QA Manager will be a technical leader who is comfortable establishing new processes, empowering existing team members, and leaning on their experience in both manual and automated testing practices.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 6-10 people, including daily touch points and quarterly performance reviews
• Identify staffing gaps and be comfortable leading the hiring process of individuals to fill key roles within within the QA department
• Ownership over becoming an ‘Ingenious Expert’, immersing yourself in the application and understanding how each module functions
• Create an automated test strategy for both end-to-end testing and integration testing
• Lead the creation of regression test cases for both new and existing features to prevent new bugs
• Ensure that all user stories, tasks and bugs that you are assigned to are tested thoroughly across all environments
• Identify areas of our system which have inadequate test coverage, then execute the strategy to fix it.
• Utilize test plans to implement new Quality Assurance systems which increase our confidence on each release
• Report to VP of Engineering on QA department goals and create documentation of new processes and functions within the department

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years software testing experience
• Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience
• Knowledge of testing principles, test techniques and test methodologies
• Experience working with tests management tools
• Experience with user-level automation frameworks and scripting like Python and Java
• Experience with creating test scripts for API testing
• Good understanding of Scrum and Agile Project Management methodologies
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Good English communication skills

• Understanding of Data Analytics a plus
• Understanding of AECO Industry a major plus
• Experience with Selenium a plus
