QA Manager

Position Title: QA Manager

Location: Santa Monica, CA. Up to 10% travel required, if any.

I. Essential Job Functions: 

• Lead team of QA engineers
• Manage and constantly improve QA engineer hiring process including interviewing,
  onboarding and mentoring locally and across multiple geographies
• Set up and adjustment of QA processes according to team and project needs
• Create and maintain test documentation
• Create and implement complex test plans
• Manage automation testing process for new projects
• Adjust and improve API testing process for third party partners integration
• Take an active part in requirements analysis from project kick-offs to deployment
• Take an active part in functional, regression, smoke, sanity, ad-hoc, cross browser testing
  and results analysis
• Creation and maintenance of test documentation: bug reports, checklists, test cases
• Close communication with product and engineering teams on different stages of SDLC
• Evaluation and administration of mission-critical QA tools
• Work closely with release engineering and devops teams
• Close communication with infrastructure team

II. Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or closely related field plus 3 years of
  experience testing web applications and Client/Server applications; OR
• Master’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related field plus 1 year of
  experience testing web applications and Client/Server applications.

III. Special Skills Required:

• Understanding and practical knowledge of test design techniques
• Demonstrable experience with QA metrics implementations
• Understanding of performance testing approaches and modern performance tools
• Experience with DBMS and SQL scripting
• Case management tools (e.g., Testrail)
• Understanding of client-server architectures
• Knowledge in different bug tracking tools
• Understanding of development methodologies, including Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe),
  Waterfall, and RUP
• Functional testing experience of mobile apps on iOS and Android
• Project Management tools, including Pivotal tracker and Jira
• Experience in testing sensitive data applications with PCI/HIPAA compliance standards
• Experience testing health-related communications protocols, including HL7 and FHIR
• Experience in testing microservices/distributed architectures

Travel: Up to 10% travel required, if any.
Salary: $150,000
