QA Manager

Manage and develop a group of Quality Assurance Analysts responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and reliability for all software developed for mobile and online distribution. Act as a subject matter expert for software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality. This role requires a forward thinking, critical problem solver who can communicate across disciplines, teams, and the organization.

Essential Job Functions:  

·  Manage a team tasked with providing quality assurance for mobile and online games 

·  Ensure team members are identifying test needs based off acceptance criteria/ risks assessments based on code changes. 

·  Implement software test methodologies/procedures/tools that provide value to the overall product development lifecycle 

·  Responsible for mentorship, evaluations, conflict resolution and recognition of the staff to maintain highly motivated and engaged employees 

·  Communicate with other departments within Social Gaming to prevent issues from arising and correct existing problems during the development cycle 

·  Handle escalations of any product issues found during testing and/or production to ensure that they are resolved 

·  Provide input to the weekly project status report for each assigned project. 

·  Proactively engage with Engineering & Production disciplines to set objectives, meet deadlines and mitigate risks 

·  Lead and/or participate in global QA initiatives

Requirements

Education:  

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant area or equivalent experience 

Required Experience:  

·  Minimum 7 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in field associated with software testing 

·  At least 2 years of management experience 

Preferred Experience: 

·  Social game development 

·  Versed in agile development methodologies 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

·  Knowledge of test methodologies and their implementation 

·  Ability to work collaboratively with development partners to define acceptance/ exit criteria

·  Ability to effectively develop and manage staff to meet current and future team goals 

·  Ability to properly identify risks and can implement mitigation/elimination plans appropriately 

·  Strong verbal and written communication skills 

·  Ability to efficiently regulate, delegate, and prioritize tasks 

·  Ability to meet quick deadlines and deliver precise, effective results in a fast-paced work environment 

·  Strong management and leadership skills with a proactive participative management style

Physical Requirements: Hybrid Office environment - 3 on / 2 off

Work Conditions: May require weekend and evening hours. May require travel.
