Job Description

Responsibilities: 

• Understand the behavior of complex web-based applications and apply that knowledge towards testing
• Design, develop and manage the overall test strategy and test plan of the product
• Create and execute test scenarios; select the best methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for testing
• Own and lead all Test automation efforts for the projects – which includes automation suite setup, test case design setup, automation development and coverage reporting.
• Identify test data requirements and generate required data to support testing
• Lead the test analysts in the project by reviewing their test case documents and test execution strategy.
• Collaborate with product owner, project manager and other key stakeholders of the project and take ownership of the end to end quality of the product
• Clearly report issues found during testing to all stakeholders
• Identify gaps in processes, test scenarios and test cases in the event of defect leakage.
• Test for UI consistency & layout responsiveness across different desktop & mobile browsers & screen resolutions
• Create test deliverables required by company and project testing standards
• Work collaboratively with other testers, developers, and stakeholders
• Lead and Participate in mob testing and exploratory testing initiatives
• Lead and Participate in process improvement efforts
• Contribute during design reviews and recommend product improvement

Requirements: 

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA degree in computer science or equivalent field.
• Must have 7+ years of experience in manual testing design and execution
• Must have 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Must have hands-on experience in any one of the test automation frameworks – Playwright, Webdriver.io, Selenium Webdriver (Java-based), etc.
• Ability to operate independently with moderate to minimal supervision
• Hands on testing experience of web-based applications – product or content-driven
• Hands on experience in UI testing, cross browser compatibility, responsive design testing, API Testing, exploratory testing, etc.
• Good Knowledge of Functional Testing, System Testing & Regression Testing.
• Experience in designing and executing manual test plans and test scripts for complex systems.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and hands on experience with quality assurance processes and methodologies. Experience with at least one testing tool for test case management and defect management.
• Strong leadership and ownership attributes.
• Strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong documentation skills.
